The Type 38 Arisaka is a bolt-action rifle that was used by the Imperial Japanese during the first half of the 20th century. They were the main armament of Japanese ground forces until they were replaced by the larger caliber Type 99. Type 38’s were still widely used until the end of WWII. This is a training rifle and does not possess any rifling. While it is in fair condition, it is NOT intended to be fired. The barrel and bolt are rusted, the wood is scratched and worn, the bayonet sheath has light rust, the handle has light rust but the blade of the bayonet does not appear to be rusting. This rifle only has the proof markings from the factory.
